Had these guys press a set of rods onto new pistons for a holden 202 last year at the cost of $80. This time around this morning quoted $320. I just can't justify that cost, and I'm sure they can't either. After previously leaving positive feedback and having a good experience with them, I've now retracted that. I am 100% sure it depends on who you speak to in there. There's the old bloke who charges 3 fold what his son does, so if you have no other choice to go in there, please make sure you don't see the real old bloke in there. He'll charge the earth.

Beware, this place is useless. Poor quality work, incomplete job, mixed up my crank caps and gave them to me in a box. Told me the bores would clean up at 30 thou and bored it out but the bores have pits in them at the top. I gave them a Welsh plug kit with grub screws and they removed them and only fitted half of them back. They didn’t refit dowl pins in deck with new supplied pins after decking block. They pushed a welsh plug inside block and is still in there rattling around. They tell lies and tell you it’s going in to have a proses done as we speak yet they said the same thing 3 times every 2 weeks I called. Now I have to take the whole thing to another shop to get checked over and reworked. I’m Not happy at all and I will never go back again.

Advice would be not to take your work to this crowd. Continuously have to ring them to see what's going on with your job and then they lie to you about the progress. Quite a few people have found the same problems with these clowns.

Terrible i bought a head from engine reco and parts it was faulty had a cupple of Welsh plugs fall out and put water in the oil then sent it back they replaced the welsh plugs and gave it back saying it was fine then different ones fell out so took it back again they argued and told me it was my mechanic doing something wrong and were sneaky about testing it in front of me evan though he had arranged for me to come in late to test in front of me but then turned the machine off telling me I had to come back the next morning so I did the next day at the time he asked only to have it finished on the machine to test I dont know anything about the test and I'm not a mechanic but I do know there test didnt evan come close to operating temperature but I went with it and fixed the truck for the third time and has been fine since. The conclusion me an my mechanic and everyone I talk to about it thinks that it was the Welsh plugs hadn't been installed properly in the first place and when it was sent in they only replaced the ones that came out so there was still faulty one ready to fall out. In conclusion It has cost a fortune for me and my mechanic and considering engine reco & parts have a right up on their website stating to use them to save a fortune I wouldn't believe a word they say
