Based on what I personally heard and what my husband experienced, I was very disappointed with the way Andrew, the manager, handled this situation. I heard the phone conversations myself and found his manner to be rude and unprofessional. During one of the calls, he told my husband that the vehicle would be sent to the wreckers if it wasn't collected, which I found unnecessary and upsetting. From everything I witnessed, there was poor communication, conflicting information about storage fees, and a lack of professionalism throughout the process. My husband's experience has left us both with a very negative impression, and I believe this type of customer service reflects poorly on RACT AutoServe. Customers deserve respectful, clear, and professional communication, especially when dealing with a stressful vehicle breakdown.

Got my car inspected at RACT AutoServe Launceston today — super professional and smooth process. Staff were friendly and explained everything clearly. Right after, I had breakfast at Sweetbrew Coffee House nearby. Great coffee, delicious food, and a cozy vibe. A great start to the day!
Travelling in Tas, broke down in Launceston on a Saturday. Towed to RACT AutoServe. We live in the car, so after getting a rental, RACT arranged access to the yard to get our stuff (as business was closed on weekend and locked). Monday morning initially told they wouldn't get to our car till later in the week. But in the meantime a medical situation had arisen at home and we had to get back to mainland. So they arranged for a mechanic to come in early Tuesday to fix car (starter motor). In the end they had a cancellation so were able to fix it Monday afternoon. We really appreciate their response to our difficult situation, they couldn't have been more helpful.
