The service received from Angela from Homestay in Launceston was excellent. The property was old but cute. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was great as well. Short flat walk to town over the bridge. A shorter flat walk down the street to IGA and the pub. Most things is Launceston are old and heritage listed. Was a nice place.
We stayed in the beautiful Tamar Rise Apartments no.7 this time and the view is unbelievable at sunrise and sunset. Kitchen had everything we needed , great bathroom,big shower nice bath with a view. Check in and out with Launceston home away from home couldn't be easyer. Zero hassle. Amazing host who give both text and email instructions to make it all work smooth. I will be staying again for work or a romantic weekend away.
We are a family of four and stayed at 4 Forest Road for 4 weeks in Jan-Feb 2026, visiting from Scotland. We found this recently renovated house to be very comfortable and well-equipped, with Angela willing to provide the few other things we needed. There are only two disadvantages to its location close to the town centre: constant traffic noise from the West Tamar Highway below, which could be alleviated by the installation of double glazing, and access to parking at the back. If you drive a small car and are comfortable doing a five-point turn though, you can enter quite easily from the town end of Forest Road and won't need to risk reversing in or out. If hiring a car, choose an automatic: Launceston is built around steep hills.
